Alexander Wang ripoffs are becoming a daily topic, maybe I should start a blog pertaining solely to Alexander Wang's latest collections and who's copying them. (Seriously though, any takers?) Today my mom and I hit up Macy's to see the goods that were on sale. I was perusing the handbag section when I stumbled onto this gem by Steve (Steven?) Madden which retails for $198. I hate to be a total sellout and cop the faux version, but I'm so in love with the design and I just don't have $725 to drop. I didn't end up buying the Steve Madden version, but I'll keep my eye on it to see what kind of Macy's sale magic may be in its future. (Meaning, if it ever hits the clearance rack and I can score an incredible deal.)

In other news, since when did Steven by Steve Madden bags become so expensive? Especially when they're ripping off other designers? Words of wisdom, people: if you're going to buy a knockoff, make sure it's decent-looking and decently inexpensive. Yesterday I was browsing eBay for Sam Edelman's knockoff Balenciaga boots just to see if I would get lucky and find them - I did, but for a whopping $400. Underneath the image of the shoes, the seller had written that they purchased the shoes for $800 only to learn that the boots didn't even fit! For $800, you might as well buy the real Balenciaga shoes and have them for the rest of your life!
