I confess I didn't know who Eugenia Kim was before (literally) two minutes ago, but FabSugar wrote up a post on her new capsule collection for Urban Oufitters and I totally died for this beanie.

Am I the only one who's over summer already? The rain and humidity has been a huge buzzkill, totally killing my outfit options. I'm ready for the humidity to die down already and the crisp autumn air to set in so I can rock fab headwear like this!

Word in the blogosphere (and the print world as well - check this month's issue of ELLE!) is that ankle boots are hot for fall. I mean, they never really went out of style in my book. Nonetheless, I've been hardcore crushing on Nine West's Iceage Booties lately, they're the perfect balance of edgy and classy and go with just about anything. (Not a fan of the particular color shown, I'd obvi opt for black.)

However, I was just browsing Aldo's Web site when I came across these beauties, a total rip of YSL's version but gorgeous nonetheless. Less edgy and rocker chic than the Nine West version, but so timeless and with a killer stiletto.

No image of the Trib boot available on ShopStyle, but here's the slingback version so you get an idea of what I'm talking about. Similar, huh?

Only problem is, now I'm torn between the two. I previously had my heart set on the Nine West babies, but now that these have come into the picture... well, you know the story. I'd love some feedback on which ones you guys think I should go with - I'm still leaning towards the Nine Westies, they seem like they'd work better with every day outfits. And wouldn't you know, with my luck, they are EXACTLY the same price, to make the decision all the more difficult!

Who doesn't love Alexander Wang right now? Check out some of his footwear and handbags that should be hitting the shelves this year. I'm digging all his ankle boots, did anyone see Chloe Sevigny rocking a pair in last month's ELLE? So fabulous.

Believe it or not, there's more to see from this collection so be sure to view the rest of the stylish goodness at nitro:licious. (PS, met Wendy from nitro:licious last night - she's awesome! So friendly!)
By now I think we're all wondering the same thing - which piece will Forever 21 copy first and how soon will it hit stores?! Ha!

The rainy New York weather is definitely making me feel like it's closer to fall than summer. Which is why I deemed this post pretty appropriate given the outdoor conditions - Wendy over at nitro:licious posted three pages worth of pics from Nine West's Fall collection preview! Here's a tiny little taste of what you can expect this autumn...

It seems as though Nine West's capitalizing on the zipper, studs, and chains trend that's taken ahold of the fashion world. (If you haven't noticed these accents anywhere, get ready - cause you will soon!) Lately Nine West has definitely stepped up their game, they used to be a brand I associated with the older, working-age crowd (which I guess includes me now... ew), but recently they've revitalized themselves and now seem fresh and youthful. I'll be keeping my eye on this collection - there's a few pieces I'll definitely need for my autumn '09 wardrobe.

New for Fall '09, Nike's releasing the Braata, which looks to me like a Vans Era-esque shoe. Check them out below:

Here's some more info from Sneaker News, if you're interested:
"Nike 6.0 will release a new vulcanized inspired model in their Fall 2009 Collection, the shoe is called the Braata, and will come in two different colorways in it’s initial season debut. The outsole appears to be a vulcanized outsole but is actually made up of Phylon, a lightweight material, that allows for the shoe to be more flexible and durable while remaining comfortable and offering a sensitivity similar to that of vulcanized outsole."
These are pretty decent looking, but I'm not blown away. Since it's Nike, we can obviously expect a lot more releases in the coming months, so if you're not feeling these just sit tight.

Just in time for back-to-school, Vans is coming out with a collection for you to rep your city... but only if you're from San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, or Chicago. Either way, I like the colorways on all of these shoes.

I'm liking those black and orange Eras, even though I have no use for anything orange in my wardrobe really. Oh well - check Hypebeast for more info about the shoes. Goodnight!

Balmain is super hot right now, and judging solely from the two designs pictured below you can probably get a sense why. The designs are edgy and eye-catching, and I think it's pretty safe to say that most women in the fashion world are swooning over Balmain frocks right now. These two looks are from Balmain's latest show in Paris.

As always, Erin looks amazing, totally owning those looks. I love the leather dress she's outfitted in on the left. K, back to studying...

Yesterday I ordered some fabulous open-toed boots from Amazon.com, here's a lil refresher if you've already forgotten...

Anyways, I said in my post I'd be rockin' these with boyfriend jeans (or probably leggings on another day) 'til the weather warms up. And look at what I spotted on DSquared2's Fall '09 runway via Denimology...

Check out the model's footwear! So funny, right? I actually HAD been wondering what kinda top I'd pair with these boots and my jeans, I'm not usually one for button-down shirts and cardigans but this look is so casual chic I just might have to emulate. Cheers!

First off, let me apologize for my serious lack of coverage of Milan Fashion Week. But really, I'm only one person and trying to cover all the Fashion Weeks is totally exhausting, so I tend to stay away from that area and let the bigger blogs and mags take over. But I just had to comment on DSquared2's Fall 2009 show and how much I loved all the looks. Why, you ask? Because they're so wearable. Now, I understand that most of us - including me - can't afford DSquared2 pieces, but I think this runway is a perfect example of outfit inspiration we can incorporate into our wardrobes come next autumn. You can find pieces similar to those shown on the runway at lots of price-friendly stores like H&M, American Apparel, and Forever 21 - for example, liquid leggings, boyfriend jeans, T-shirt dresses, knit beanies etc. And one huge trend I noticed on the runway was layers! Lots and lots of them. So, if you thought high fashion was out of the ball park for you, think again and check out the looks that I loved from DSquared2. I could only post so many, so be sure to check out the rest of the show at New York Magazine!
