...until these boots hit Payless shelves this September. Alice + Olivia for Payless, $50! Payless! Who knew?

View the rest of Payless' designer collabs at their Web site - Abaete's got some pretty fab coming, and you can also see Christian Siriano's collection if you missed it from Fashion Week :)

Hey everyone! First off, let me sincerely apologize for being a horrible blogger. I've started a new job and wouldn't you know, three days into it, was struck with appendicitis that resulted in emergency surgery and me sleeping for a few days straight.
Glad to say I'm back :), and even though I had to cancel a much-anticipated trip to New Orleans in light of my surgery, I'm in a good mood. And who isn't in a good mood when they come by a pair of shoes that call out to them? Scroll down a few posts to see the Topshop Chloe knockoffs that I blogged about a while back - 'cause it seems that they've been edged out by none other than boho chic retailer Free People. (Many thanks to KnightCat for first blogging about this!)

Love them even more with the fishnets!
I used to be all about high heels, but scurrying around NYC lately has made me embrace flats - and these are just as fierce as a pair of high heels!

I've seen these Chloe studded boots througout the blogosphere for awhile now - according to a Web site called StyleGuru they retail for upwards of $1,200!
Image via StyleGuru
That's a pretty substantial price tag, even for all the immaculate studding and fab buckle details. However, for a mere $160 you can get your Chloe fix from Topshop.

Not quite as much detail, but the same basic idea for about $900 less. You be the judge. (PS, they're also available in white, cobalt blue, and red. Check the Topshop site for more color options.)

Word in the blogosphere (and the print world as well - check this month's issue of ELLE!) is that ankle boots are hot for fall. I mean, they never really went out of style in my book. Nonetheless, I've been hardcore crushing on Nine West's Iceage Booties lately, they're the perfect balance of edgy and classy and go with just about anything. (Not a fan of the particular color shown, I'd obvi opt for black.)
Nine West - Ice Age (Dark Grey/Dark Grey Leather)
$138.95 by Nine West at Zappos
However, I was just browsing Aldo's Web site when I came across these beauties, a total rip of YSL's version but gorgeous nonetheless. Less edgy and rocker chic than the Nine West version, but so timeless and with a killer stiletto.

No image of the Trib boot available on ShopStyle, but here's the slingback version so you get an idea of what I'm talking about. Similar, huh?
Yves Saint Laurent "Tribute" Slingback Platform

Only problem is, now I'm torn between the two. I previously had my heart set on the Nine West babies, but now that these have come into the picture... well, you know the story. I'd love some feedback on which ones you guys think I should go with - I'm still leaning towards the Nine Westies, they seem like they'd work better with every day outfits. And wouldn't you know, with my luck, they are EXACTLY the same price, to make the decision all the more difficult!

OMG. I don't know why I'm thinking about winter right now but seriously, how fabulous are these, and how amazing would they look with a pair of leggings? Can't you see Mary-Kate Olsen trekking through the wilds of Sundance wearing these?

Never thought I'd wish for cold weather!
UPDATE: Here's some summer-appropriate versions. Enjoy!

I've come to the conclusion that I don't like sandals. I seriously think they are the biggest waste of money, and I can't understand why (or how) companies like Aldo and Steve Madden charge upwards of $100 for a pair of sandals! Maybe I have beef with this particular type of footwear because I went to college in the tundra (thanks, Ithaca, NY), where winter was, like, eight months long and buying sandals was hardly even worth it. Plus, with close-toed footwear you can span seasons and dress according to the weather. Exhibit A: I wore my vintage cowboy boots to work today. It's July! And alas, I didn't suffer.
I was browsing one of my favorite blogs, Knight Cat, when I stumbled across this picture. Peep it:

It was love at first sight with those pair of shoes. Does anyone know who makes them or where they're from?! If so, please leave a comment or e-mail me at hellooogorgeous.blog@gmail.com. (PS, are you guys adoring those fringe shorts as much as I am?!)
In other news, I ordered a pair of Sanuks the other day from Amazon.com and am anxiously awaiting their arrival.
Sanuk - Tweedy (Black)

Are these not the perfect pair of shoes? They're categorized as flip flops but with a way cooler exterior. My type of sandal.

Now this is what I'm talking about! The good folks over at Nike have saluted Lawnguyland (all you natives know what I'm talking about) with a special edition Air Force 1 paying tribute to none other than Jones Beach. Every Long Island kid has a connection to Jones Beach in some form - whether it was seeing concerts there or frequenting the boardwalk, or just plain chillin with your friends at the beach.

Gotta love that the shoe comes complete with the image of LI emblazoned on the sole. Don't sleep on these, I doubt they'll last long.

I'll be quite honest - as much as I'm a fan of summer and warm weather, sandals just don't do it for me. I just don't understand why wedges and other peep-toe pumps run upwards of $100, when you can only wear them for a few months (especially for those of us in the Northeast). In my opinion, I'd rather buy a pair of closed toes shoes that I can wear in both summer and winter. So that's my two cents.
And of course, there are always exceptions to the rule, which may be the case with Aldo's Parrin peep-toe boots. Retailing at $100, I'd normally be hesitant to spring for them but they'd look fab with stockings or completely bare. Check out nitro:licious' Wendy rocking the black version and fashiontoast's Rumi in the beige ones.

The super-high heel is pretty fabulous as well, but I'll bet walking in these takes some getting used to!

Who doesn't love Alexander Wang right now? Check out some of his footwear and handbags that should be hitting the shelves this year. I'm digging all his ankle boots, did anyone see Chloe Sevigny rocking a pair in last month's ELLE? So fabulous.

Believe it or not, there's more to see from this collection so be sure to view the rest of the stylish goodness at nitro:licious. (PS, met Wendy from nitro:licious last night - she's awesome! So friendly!)
By now I think we're all wondering the same thing - which piece will Forever 21 copy first and how soon will it hit stores?! Ha!

OMG! How hot are these? Jeremy Scott has been turning up the temperature with his adidas designs - if you guys don't remember, awhile back I posted Jeremy's sneaker design that I was lusting after then - gold with wings! I would love to get inside this man's brain for a day, who would have ever thought of this?
Image via Hypebeast
According to Hypebeast these'll be released in August. Not sure what the retail price will be, I'm guessing upwards of $200. More pics over at Hypebeast, check them out!
