When it comes to capsule collections, 2008 was one for the books - and as you may know, I am an avid shopper of the GO International collections. Target collaborated with more up-and-coming designers, such as the current collection by Thakoon, but also had lines designed by accessories designer Anya Hindmarch and Sigerson Morrison.
Not to be outdone, Swedish retailing giant H&M collaborated with high-end designers such as Roberto Cavalli, Stella McCartney, and Comme de Garcones (as sported by Katie Holmes and Nicky Hilton), each leading to shopping frenzies in H&M stores.
So, I'm wondering, of these two stores, which one's designer collaborations were you loving more?

I just read an article about Anya Hindmarch on Ethical Style called "I am a Plastic Bag" and I was a little bit surprised and disappointed. You may not know, but last year renowned handbag designer Anya Hindmarch released an eco-friendly reusable tote bag that sold out EVERYWHERE - for only $10! I tried to get my hands on one via eBay, but they were selling for at least $40, and they probably weren't even real. The bag, emblazoned with the phrase "I'm not a Plastic Bag," was spotted on multiple celebs and earned Hindmarch praise for her eco-friendly effort.
But, has Hindmarch tarnished her environmentally sound name? Ethical Style asserts that Hindmarch's affordable line that's now available at Target used "a ton" of plastic to make. I'm saddened by this, seeing that I *love* my Anya Hindmarch for Target black clutch - I use it all the time! It just seems extremely hypocritical for someone to do. I still respect Hindmarch as a designer, and I will give her the benefit of the doubt until I know more information (maybe she didn't have firsthand knowledge of exactly how her bags would be produced, she's a busy lady). Until then, I will definitely be keeping an eye on this issue as to what Hindmarch's response is.
