While the rest of the country seems to be caught in the harsh wave of a recession, Nike's been cranking out the women's footwear like it's nobody's biz. First the Skinny Dunks rocked the scene this year with a shoe tailored to our slim lady feet, and now feast your eyes on some of Nike's latest releases: the Bamboo Weave Blazer Mid and Jordan 1 Icy Pack:

Are you guys feeling these shoes? I'm definitely a fan of the Blazer design but not too sure how I feel about the bamboo detailing. How long does that last before it starts to splinter? The Jordans are pretty nice, although is it weird for me to say that Nikes in general make my feet look too big? I think I'm gonna hold out for a pair of Vans, but if you wanna know more 'bout these kicks, check out nitro:licious for more info on the Blazer and Sneaker Freaker to learn more about the Jordan 1's.

... this is the end product! How crazy is this shoe? It's a collab between Lacoste and architecture firm Zaha Hadid. I can't even begin to explain, so here's some more info via Sneaker Freaker:
"The Zaha Hadid for Lacoste footwear collaboration began with a digitized interpretation of the iconic crocodile logo. Hadid’s research team then used this as a basis to explore a series of surfaces with repeated patterns. ‘The design expression behind the collaboration with Lacoste footwear allows the evolution of dynamic fluid grids,’ explains Hadid. ‘When wrapped around the shape of a foot, these expand and contract to negotiate and adapt to the body ergonomically. In doing so a landscape emerges, undulating and radiating as it merges seamlessly with the body.’"

So, would any of you guys wear this? I'm not sure if I would, it looks kind of like a funky rain boot. Lots more info from the Sneaker Freaker article, so be sure to take it all in.

Good morning everyone! I thought I'd start off today by posting about sneakers since I've been slacking in that area lately. Got an e-mail from Sneaker Freaker in my inbox this morning and one of Reebok's latest creations, the Freestyle Biker Chic, caught my eye.

I normally don't give Reebok designs too much attention 'cause I'm not too drawn to this shoe, but I love the studded punk rock detailing and I think Reebok really stepped it up a notch with these babies. Kinda like a motorcycle boot but guaranteed to be more comfy!

Can you believe it's almost Valentine's Day already? The Hallmark holiday is this Friday, so, guys why not reward the lady in your life with a gift that'll outlast chocolate and flowers? Enter, Nike's '09 Valentine's Day Dunk, complete with your traditional red but also featuring a play on the usual skull-and-crossbones design. (Look closely, you'll be able to see.)

Generally, I adore me some stilettos but for those days where I just wanna kick it (get it?) and have about a million errands to do, these babies will do the trick. Come on, we all know red isn't limited to Valentine's Day - it's fire-y all year round. So even if you're spending this artificial holiday alone, reward yourself for your hard work thus far in 2009 by purchasing a pair.

Not that I skate or anything, but I'm allowed to like the design of these. And kudos to Converse for venturing out into something they haven't done before - I hope they succeed, because I love their shoes! Check out some more info from Sneaker Freaker about Converse's CTS:
"Tasteful and restrained, the CTS is looking dope-a-rope in premium black leather with gold eyelets. As you would expect, the range is a mix of retro faves that have been 'skate-ified', mainly by adding some sort of memory foam to the collar and tongue to keep your feet safe and sound as a pound. They feel really solid and should get a very warm reception from skaters - check the New Releases section of Sneaker Freaker 14 for more shoes in the line-up - 2009 should be the year for the chevron to really blow up!"

Skate shoe or not, I think these would look adorable with a cute pair of shorts come springtime!

Check out these beauties I found on Sneaker Freaker; Foot Locker is releasing exclusive Puma's - and these are the women's editions! I'm loving the hi-top and the shade of pink! I hope the pairs come with both color laces because I'm adoring both combos. I've been checking Foot Locker's Web site lately and haven't been able to find these on there, hopefully they're in the stores!
