I love finding out what types of beauty products other people use and swapping advice... so I figured I'd let you all in on some of my favorite products right now! It may seem like a lil bit of a repeat for those of you who've been keeping up with my posts, but nonetheless it can't hurt!
John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme
John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme
$11.99$7.99 by John Frieda at Folica.com
Let me preface this review by letting you in on a secret of mine: TOSS YOUR STRAIGHTENER! When I had short hair, I straightened my hair a lot more, but now that's it's grown out I've stopped relying on a flatiron. I don't even have my straightener at school, I think it's probably back at home. I haven't used it in months, and I'm so much happier without it. Pin-straight hair is so middle school dance; I love sexy beach-y, waves. Anywho, since I'm surviving without my straightener, you didn't think that I'd be able to have fab hair without any help, did you? (If you did, thanks!) For awhile I was relying on hairspray, but it started to wear on my hair, so I turned to this creme which I've used previously (a few years back). I absolutely love it, and for the price, it's so worthwhile. It tames my hair while leaving it smooth, not dry or sticky.
Rimmel Colour Rush Eye Shadow Mono in Jet Black

Rimmel Colour Rush Quad Eye Shadow, Smokey Purple
$6.29 by Rimmel at Walgreens
Black eyeliner is a necessity in any girl's makeup kit, and over the years I've grown to love using black shadow as a liner. Liquid liner's just too messy for me, so I stick to powder. Plus, it's easier to blend for a smokey eye! I couldn't find a pic of the shadow mono I actually have, but I'm pretty sure it's the same as the shadow pictured in the upper left-hand corner of the quad. It stays on for hours and I think it retails for something like $3. Totally worth picking up, even if it's just to stash in your makeup kit for emergencies.
Lancome Exceptional Wear EyeColour

Lancome COLOUR FOCUS PALETTE 4 OMBRES - Exceptional Wear EyeColour Quad
$40.00 by Lancome at Sephora
The quad I actually have is a lil bit different, it's actually a sample size but I've been using it for months. It's pretty much the same colors pictured above, except the pink is replaced with an eggplant shade. Either way, I absolutely love it. I use the gold shade (mine's called Snap) for highlighting the crease of my lids whenever I'm doing a smokey eye; then I add the lighter shade (mine's a silver-y hue called Optic) on my brow bone. The quality of this makeup is fantastic and pigment doesn't break up, like it sometimes does with lesser brands. Definitely a splurge but it's something you'll wear all the time, trust me.
Soap & Glory Peachy Cream Big Butter
Soap & Glory Spa Body Butter - Peach (10.0 oz.)
$14.99 by Soap & Glory at Target
I know I literally bought this product yesterday but I already wanted to sing its praises. I've been using it on my hands since they're especially dry, and it's working wonders. I love the smell and the way it makes my skin feel. Plus the 10 oz. tub is pretty damn big.
Neutrogena 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes
Neutrogena 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes, Fair
$9.99 by Neutrogena at Walgreens
I was a total devotee to this product when for some reason I decided I wanted to go higher-end and try something different. I ended up with a MAC under eye concealer, and although I'm a lover of MAC in general their concealer didn't do it for me. It would gather in the creases under my eye and then my eye liner would run into those creases. So NOT cute! After being frustrated a few too many times by MAC's concealer I switched back to my trusty Neutrogena and I'm so glad I did. This concealer provides better coverage and NO creasing. Lesson learned: higher price doesn't necessarily mean better.
