Hey all. Sorry for the brief absence, I was crazy busy at my other internship and then flew the Long Island coop for the weekend and headed upstate to meet up with some college friends. Thus, even though it's actually Monday today's my Sunday and I treated it as such.
Unfortunately I missed the BET Awards but I managed to see a clip of Jamie Foxx's moonwalk on CNN. Aside from the MJ tribute, I was more interested in scoping out the fashion than who won any actual awards. One outfit that caught my eye was R&B singer Cassie's. Check it out.
I read some other reviews of Cassie's outfit that said her getup was a lil trashy, but in my opinion it's edgy and eye-catching. Those ankle boots are killer and obviously she gets props for the MJ-inspired glove. The weird, webby cutout of the dress is pretty dope. I'm pretty much over Cassie's Alice Dellal-ripoff 'do - it's pretty beat and doesn't do much for her cause. I'm sure this outfit will end up on some tabloid's Fashion Police section but I'll give Cassie an A for effort.
