Fringe is everywhere lately - from Alexander Wang's open-toe boots to Forever 21 totes - and you don't have to spend a fortune to try this cowboy-inspired trend. I was just browsing the American Apparel site when I stumbled across this gem... It's less than $50, and the breezy summer cut is perfect for humid days when you can't stand to have any cloth stick to your skin.

Just think of how fab this would look over any of the Forever 21 print leggings I blogged about earlier...

Going to school in the tundra of upstate New York, leggings were a no-fail winter staple. So effortless and comfortable, especially for early mornings when the sub-freezing temperatures were less than motivating to brush my car off and go to class. Although, now that I'm officially done, I'd totally brave those horrific temperatures to go back to college again! But back to the point...
I've always admired graphic print leggings but was always hesitant to spend the same amount of money on them that I'd spend on denim because they lack versatility. Sure, they have the same level of comfort as your basic black or gray pair, but you can only wear them so many days in a row or dress them up differently. Well, it seems that Forever 21 has come through this summer and now stocks cheap chic graphic leggings, which can be paired with a tunic or slouchy tank for an easy summer outfit.

I'll admit that the last two pairs look like rip-offs of other brands - the middle one being a rip of the Married to the Mob graffiti leggings and Sprouse Louis Vuitton leggings; the last pair a rip of American Apparel leggings - and from what I've read lately Forever 21 has been slammed with lawsuits regarding their obvious copies of high-fashion pieces. I wonder if any of these brands will be next to slap F21 with a lawsuit. You heard it here first!

Who doesn't love Alexander Wang right now? Check out some of his footwear and handbags that should be hitting the shelves this year. I'm digging all his ankle boots, did anyone see Chloe Sevigny rocking a pair in last month's ELLE? So fabulous.

Believe it or not, there's more to see from this collection so be sure to view the rest of the stylish goodness at nitro:licious. (PS, met Wendy from nitro:licious last night - she's awesome! So friendly!)
By now I think we're all wondering the same thing - which piece will Forever 21 copy first and how soon will it hit stores?! Ha!

I honestly think Forever 21 has started to think of copying Alexander Wang's designs as a game. First they knocked off his fringe boot (which I totally bought, I won't lie), then they knocked off Alex's Donna Hobo bag. Looks like Forever 21's at it again, this time knocking off the designer's infamous colorblock minidress, which has been seen on the likes of Diane Kruger (to name just one celeb).

I wonder what Mr. Wang thinks of this - do you think he's pissed or flattered? It's almost as though it's become a game now - "Let's see how little time elapses after Alexander Wang releases a design before Forever 21 rips it off."

Structured skirts are a fun way to show off your legs, plus they're way more interesting than your token denim skirt. Check out Rihanna rocking one below, and peep my pick for a wallet-friendly option from Forever 21!

Rainy springtime weather is ideal for mall trips, don't you think? Yesterday it was humid and drizzly, so I dragged my sister to the mall with me for a quick shopping trip. We bypassed most of the stores - actually, almost all of them - and only hit up Express, Forever 21, and Urban Outfitters. Originally I had my heart set on a pair of Levi's denim shorts from UO but they only had one pair left which weren't my size.
Not all was lost, though, since I walked out of Forever 21 with a pair of acid-washed denim (sure to be hot, hot this summer and fall) and scooped up a fringed scarf from Express's sale section. Overall, pretty successful shopping trip!

I couldn't find a pic of the scarf online; I guess it must be pretty old? I'll try to get some shots of me wearing mine though! Anyways, I'm still planning what kind of outfit I'll be pairing this denim with, any suggestions? (Random side note: I'm currently listening to Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix, such an amazing tune! Download now!)

I know I've been posting a lot about Alexander Wang lately, but let's face it - everything he's produced is hot, hot, hot. He's definitely got staying power and will be around in the fashion world for years to come. Unfortunately, as fabulous as A. Wang is, his shoes are (insanely) out of my price range. Feast your eyes on two examples below:

I managed to scoop up the Forever 21 knockoffs of A. Wang's fringe boots, and now I've found another shoe that's a close second to his shoes (for much, much less!) For those of you who've been following my blog for awhile, you'll remember that I love Melody Ehsani shoes and accessories. Check out this design from M.E., the "Cat," which retails for $145.

I think this shoe could be described as a hybrid of the two A. Wang images I posted above, plus I love that they're all basic black stilettos with a bit of an edge. Timeless, edgy, and super sexy. Peep the rest of M.E.'s collection here, and take notes of the fabulous purple suede wedge boots that I've been eyeing! (So impractical, yet fab nonetheless.)

Lindsay Lohan was snapped by the paps outside famed hotspot the Chateau Marmont, wearing Jet Skinny Jeans and Alexander Wang fringe boots (!!). The acid-wash look has definitely been resurfacing lately, and you can cop a pair similar to Lindsay's for cheap from stores like Forever 21.

Just a little side note: a few months ago, Forever 21 ripped off the exact Alexander Wang shoes Lindsay's wearing in the above photo. Unfortunately, they don't have them anymore (I managed to pick myself up a pair, though! Hehe) but you can still try to copy the full look in another type of fringe boot or sandal, there are plenty on the market. For instance...

Not an exact copy, but you get the idea. Hope you all had a fabulous Memorial Day!

Studs are all the rage right now, and studded jeans are even better. Denimology reported that these Topshop bleached/studded jeans were taken off the store's site because they sold out so quickly, but now they're back online. Check 'em out - and if you happen to live in the NYC area, now you can stop on down to Topshop and try these on in person.

These are fabulous, but they retail for $160. Would you be willing to spend that much on a pair of trendy denim? 'Cause I doubt I would. No worries, though, Forever 21's got you covered. (When do they not?)
Stud Trim Pocket Skinny Jean
$24.80 at Forever 21
Alright, so they're not exactly like the Topshop version. But for only $25, can you really blame me? If you're seriously lusting for the Topshop pair but are lacking the funds, scoop up the Forever 21 versions and spray some bleach on them. Problem solved, thank me later.
